WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 Concludes in Jaipur, Where WordPress Meets AI & Innovation

WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 concluded on a high note, bringing together developers, designers, marketers, freelancers, agency owners, business leaders, students, and open-source contributors for two days of learning, collaboration, and community at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur.

Held on 3–4 October 2026, the event marked a significant milestone as Rajasthan’s first unified state-level WordCamp, bringing the state’s growing WordPress, AI, and open-source communities together under one roof.

From a dedicated Contributor Day to technical sessions, AI-focused discussions, business insights, workshops, and networking, WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 highlighted how the WordPress ecosystem is evolving alongside the rapidly changing digital landscape.

Day 1 – Contributor Day: Contributing Beyond Code

The first day, 3 October, was dedicated to Contributor Day, giving attendees an opportunity to actively participate in the WordPress open-source project rather than simply attend sessions.

The day began with a History Walk through Jaipur from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM, bringing together community members for an early morning exploration of the city before the main activities began.

Contributor Day then moved into sessions focused on understanding open-source contribution and the different ways people can participate in WordPress.

Sessions including “Contributing to WordPress: What You Give and What You Gain” and “Beyond Code: 10 Ways Anyone Can Contribute to WordPress” highlighted that contribution is not limited to programming.

From documentation, translation, testing, photography, community building, and design to core development and AI, attendees were introduced to multiple ways of contributing to the WordPress project.

The day also featured dedicated contributor tables for areas such as Core, Core AI, Photos, Polyglots, Community & Education, Test, Support, and Patterns, allowing both first-time and experienced contributors to get involved.

Conference Day – A Day of WordPress, AI & Ideas

The second day, 4 October, featured the main WordCamp Rajasthan conference with two parallel tracks, 20 talks and workshops, and 22 speakers from India and beyond.

The sessions explored the changing world of WordPress and the wider web, covering technical development, AI, accessibility, SEO, marketing, business, open-source contribution, and emerging digital technologies.

AI Takes Centre Stage

Artificial intelligence emerged as one of the key themes of the conference.

Sessions explored topics including AI and WordPress, the agentic web, RAG knowledge bases, AI-powered productivity, Core AI, and rebuilding agencies around AI.

The discussions reflected how AI is moving beyond experimentation and becoming part of everyday workflows for developers, agencies, marketers, and businesses.

The conversation was not simply about using AI tools, but about understanding how AI can reshape the way websites are built, managed, marketed, and experienced.

Exploring the Future of WordPress

The technical sessions covered several areas relevant to modern WordPress professionals, including Headless WordPress, Multisite at scale, plugin development, WooCommerce, external data integration, and open-source development.

Discussions around accessibility also highlighted the importance of building digital experiences that are not only technically strong but accessible and inclusive.

Meanwhile, sessions on zero-click search, SEO, AEO, GEO, YouTube and WordPress, and marketing before the click explored how the search and content ecosystem is changing.

With AI increasingly influencing how users discover information, the sessions offered a timely look at what marketers, creators, and website owners need to consider next.

From Technology to Business Growth

WordCamp Rajasthan also looked beyond development and into the business side of the WordPress ecosystem.

Sessions around pitching enterprise clients, agency growth, productivity, networking, and AI-led business transformation addressed challenges faced by freelancers, agencies, entrepreneurs, and business teams.

One of the highlighted sessions, “ASAP – As Simple As Pitching: How It Helped Me Closing Enterprise WordPress Clients,” focused on turning leads into clients and improving the sales conversation around WordPress services.

The conference also featured conversations around rebuilding a 132-person agency around AI, offering a glimpse into how organisations are rethinking workflows, teams, and productivity in an AI-first environment.

Speakers Bringing Diverse Perspectives

The event featured a mix of international and Indian speakers from across the WordPress, technology, AI, business, and open-source ecosystem.

The speaker lineup included Jamie Marsland, Head of WordPress YouTube at Automattic; Kotaro Kitamura, Founder & CEO of TechBridge Inc.; Aashish Pahwa, Founder of Koso.ai; Vachan Kudmule, Founding Director at KDC; Ajit Bohra, Founder of LUBUS; and Abhishek Deshpande of WPMU DEV.

The programme also featured Anirban Mukherji, Founder and CEO of miniOrange, who spoke on “From Pink City to Tech City: Jaipur’s WordPress and AI Future.”

Together, the sessions offered perspectives ranging from WordPress development and open-source contribution to AI, cybersecurity, agency growth, and the future of technology in Jaipur.

Community at the Heart of WordCamp Rajasthan

Beyond the formal sessions, community remained one of the strongest aspects of WordCamp Rajasthan 2026.

Rajasthan already has an active WordPress ecosystem, with six city meetup groups, more than 50 meetups, workshops and contributor sessions, and over 1,000 members across the state’s WordPress groups.

WordCamp Rajasthan brought these communities together in one place.

The event created opportunities for developers to meet other developers, freelancers to discover collaborators, students to explore career possibilities, and businesses to connect with people working across WordPress and AI.

These informal conversations, often called the “hallway track” at WordCamps, are an important part of the experience, sometimes turning a quick conversation over coffee or chai into a future collaboration.

A Milestone for Rajasthan’s Open-Source Community

What made WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 particularly significant was its state-wide approach.

Communities from Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota, Alwar, Bhilwara and other parts of Rajasthan have been building the local WordPress ecosystem through regular meetups and community initiatives.

Bringing these communities together for the state’s first unified WordCamp created a larger platform for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and contribution.

The event also connected Rajasthan’s community with the wider WordPress ecosystem in India and beyond.

WordCamp Rajasthan 2026: More Than a Conference

WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 was more than a series of talks and workshops.

It brought together technology, community, business, creativity, and open-source contribution in one space.

From first-time contributors discovering how they could participate in WordPress to experienced professionals discussing AI, enterprise projects, development, marketing, and agency growth, the event offered something for different corners of the ecosystem.

Most importantly, it showed the strength of a community that has been growing across Rajasthan for years.

Final Thoughts

WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 concluded with a stronger community, new connections, fresh ideas, and plenty of conversations to carry forward.

The two-day event demonstrated that Rajasthan is not only building a strong WordPress ecosystem but is also actively engaging with the technologies shaping the future of the web.

From Contributor Day and open-source collaboration to AI, WordPress development, SEO, accessibility, business, and networking, the event brought together different perspectives while keeping the spirit of community at its centre.

As this first state-level WordCamp comes to a close, the momentum continues.

WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 may have ended in Jaipur, but the ideas, collaborations, and contributions sparked here are only beginning.

The WordPress community in Rajasthan has taken its next big step, and the journey ahead looks even more exciting.
